Memorials: Chris Herndobler

Chris volunteered at the finish line for the Pasco Invite since 2012 as a timer.  He was part of a group of senior distance runners here in the community who worked the finish line for the last decade.  He enjoyed volunteering and providing the runners their handheld times.  He has also ran the print timer during the distance races here at the Invite.  He volunteered at all Pasco home track meets and MCC Championships.  Chris also worked the finish line at the Washington State Cross Country championships at Sun Willows here in Pasco.  Chris grew up running in Southern Oregon and was proud to have raced against the legendary Steve Prefontaine.  In his later years, he ran with the Zintel Canyon runners and the Friday and Sunday runners of Howard Amon Park.  Chris will be missed at the finish line here at the Invite and State Cross Country Championships.
