Memorials: Ed Maxwell

Ed, a former Pasco Invite volunteer, passed away on May 11, 2021.  He was born on July 20, 1933, to Ralph and Genevieve Maxwell in Plan Grove Township, PA.  He played football at Slippery Rock University and enlisted in the U.S. Army.  A former Head Football Coach at two Colorado high schools, Ed came to Columbia Basin College in 1966 and was instrumental in the college athletic program’s growth.  During his 29 years at CBC, Ed was Head Coach of the college’s baseball, women’s basketball, men’s track and women’s golf program.  He also served as 5 years as the Division Head of the Health and Physical Education department.  He is survived by his wife Arlene, daughter Sheri, sons Donald and Ronald, along with 7 grandchildren.
